Recall of Petzl NEWTON Harnesses

Recall: Petzl Newton, Newton Fast en Newton Easyfit Europese versies

Recall of certain batches of the European Version of NEWTON harnesses manufactured in 2022 (references C073AA01 C073AA02), NEWTON FAST (references C073CA01 and C073CA02) and NEWTON EASYFIT (references C073EA00, C073EA01, and C073EA02) due to a nonconforming batch of FAST LT buckles that could lead to a fatal fall. Immediately stop using the harnesses affected by this recall.

Dear customer,
 
You purchased a Petzl harness from the range of NEWTON European Version harnesses, manufactured in 2022, some of which are affected by this recall.

Petzl is recalling these harnesses due to a non-conforming batch of FAST LT buckles that could lead to a fatal fall. Only certain harnesses from the NEWTON European Version range, manufactured in 2022, are affected by this recall.
 
We ask that you:
 
1. Immediately stop all use and sale of harnesses in the NEWTON European Version range

2. Read the Safety Alert below to determine whether your harness is affected by this recall.

RECALL

3. If you're a reseller: Immediately relay this recall, directly and personally, at a minimum in writing, to all customers that ordered harnesses affected by this recall.
 
Additionally, we encourage you to share this recall more widely via your website, social media, contact database, posters in your store, etc.

Once these actions are completed, you can return to selling and/or using harnesses in the NEWTON European Version range that are not affected by this recall.
