Was your basic training 'GWO BST Working at heights' more than 2 years ago? Then it's time to rehearse your knowledge. This refresher course familiarizes you once again with the various fall protection equipment, personal protective equipment, and vertical systems. Safe rescue and evacuation are also covered.

Target group
Employees that:
- have to comply to the Global Wind Organisation – Basic Safety Training standard
- work at heights in the offshore wind sector
- use different types of fallprotection equipment
- climb in both vertical and/or horizontal ways
- make use of different types of fallprotection systems
- need to be able to rescue a colleague from height in an emergency situation
- have to be able to evacuate from height
Program
- Rules and regulation regarding working at heights in the offshore wind sector
- Awareness fall hazard and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Visual user inspection on different types of PPE
- Safe use of different types of PPE
- Safe use of both vertical fall arrest systems
- Several practical rescue at height exercises
- Evacuation from height using a centrifugal evacuation device
Training ratio
- 20% theory / 80% practical
